Head of Wills & Probate
After completing her degree, Jade gained experience as a Paralegal in a Private Client department for a Buckinghamshire based firm. After two years, Jade began studying her LPC part-time while working as a Trainee Solicitor full-time. During her training, Jade also gained experience in Property and Serious Crime, but ultimately found an affinity with Private Client in which she has since specialised.
Jade has experience working with Clients at every stage of life: from couples about to get married or purchase their first home, people planning the birth their first child, parents wanting to tax plan, to grandparents looking to retire. She also knows how to help individuals plan for their final months and ways to support grieving family members.
Jade has provided services including; obtaining Grant of Probate and estate administration; detailed Inheritance Tax planning for high net worth clients; creating life time Trusts; Power of Attorneys; Court of Protection applications; and complex Wills. She particularly enjoys helping vulnerable clients in any way she can.
In her mission to better assist vulnerable and elderly clients, Jade became a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly in February 2021, after which she proudly accepted a new role as the Regional Director (Berkshire) for Solicitors for the Elderly. This appointment allows Jade to be a spokesperson for such clients with local press, pressure-groups and government bodies. Part of her role also sees her creating and implementing training and events for members across all of Berkshire.
Giving back to the community is of particular importance to Jade who often assists with work experience placements, Q&As with schools and careers fairs. Together with Directors Stephen Puri and Duncan Thomson, Jade has also established The Wishing Will Foundation, a Community Interest Company which provides expertly drafted Wills in exchange for donations to local charities such as Thames Hospice, Christopher’s Smile, Ella’s and Citizen’s Advice.
As the landscape of Private Client is constantly changing, Jade continues to study and is currently an Affiliate Member of STEP; this helps to ensure she has the advanced knowledge and up to date information required to provide exceptional advice to her clients.
