  • Must have 3 “A” levels, grades A,B,B (or above)
  • Graduated with a 2:1 degree (or above) from a reputable University
  • LPC  or conversion qualification with a Commendation (or above)
  • Previously worked or gained legal experience in a law firm for a minimum of 12 months , ideally in property and/or commercial litigation.

Must be extremely motivated, commercially astute and keen to develop themselves.

Family Solicitor/Legal Executive

Family Law Solicitor/ILEX

Desired qualifications/experience:  Must have at least 3 years PQE.

Job description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive  to join our growing practice in Slough.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Ability to work unsupervised, flexibly and efficiently, as a major fee earner in a firm where private clients and their affairs remain valued and at the heart of what we do.
  • Must be able to provide a prompt, impressive and effective service to clients.
  • Good recent relevant experience of Divorce, Ancillary Relief, Co-habitation and Pre-nuptial agreements and Private Law Children Act issues.
  • This is very much a hands on, client facing, fee earning role.
  • Commercial and financial awareness and organisation are essential, including marketing skills and to assist colleagues, Partners and Head of Department with training events and initiatives.
  • Must have good personal communication and advanced IT skills
  • Local connections preferred
  • Some client following preferred.

You will also be required to:

-Maintain and promote the good image of the firm.

– Act as an ambassador/promoter of the firm.

Intern / Office Junior

Intern/office junior

Full time position available for an intern/office junior in a busy and energetic legal practice. Monday-Friday, hours 9am – 5.30pm.

Tasks will include;

  • Undertaking research for various fee-earners
  • Assisting with archiving and enquiries regarding files or papers held (wills/deeds)
  • Writing legal blogs for the website
  • Attending court to file papers
  • Assisting with post/DX duties including
  • General filing duties
  • Assisting with opening files
  • Photocopying bundles ready for Court
  • Assist with general secretarial/admin duties especially covering sickness and holidays
  • Assisting with social media marketing for the firm including the firm’s newsletter
  • Assisting with general paperwork as required by fee-earners

Must have;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Be organised with good attention to detail
  • Have a can-do mentality and be willing to get stuck in

Ideally previous experience in a legal environment

Immigration Paralegal (Full or Part time)

Job description:

As an Immigration Paralegal at Aston Bond you will work with the firm’s Head of  Immigration , a legal 500 leading and top tier lawyer.

The ideal candidate must have experience of working in a law firm and ideally  a minimum of 12 months immigration law experience.  A willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions, take initiative and assist in this busy immigration department is essential.

Our requirements :

  • Experience of completion of online spouse entry clearance applications
  • Tier 2 & Tier 4 applications
  • Completing appeal forms
  • Completing EEA & FLR applications
  • Preparation of judicial review forms and bundles
  • Preparation  of First Tier Tribunal court bundles

The role is ideal for those undertaking their legal studies or having finished these but looking to get some experience. Must have strong academics and a ‘can do attitude ‘.

Typical duties will include:

  • Assisting with research to support applications (Includes from Home Office policy, country operational guidance and other general news articles)
  • Diary management including arranging appointments for clients
  • Completing immigration application forms. Both online and paper e.g. Entry Clearance, Extension Leave to Remain and Human Rights Applications
  • Booking same day visa appointments and assisting with the preparation of applications for submission
  • Proof reading and checking forms and documents for accuracy
  • Copying supporting documents for our records
  • Preparing appeal trial bundles including indexes
  • Completion of other standard letters, emails and faxes
  • Telephone calls to organisations, monitoring and checking progress of applications and reporting back to client and supervising Lawyer
  • General client care
  • General administration
  • Such other duties as May from time to time be given
