Lord Neuberger named as new President of the Supreme Court

On 12 July 2012, Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, who is currently Master of the Rolls, was named as the new President of the Supreme Court of the UK.

Lord Neuberger will succeed Lord Phillips of  Worth Matravers who will step down on 30 September 2012. Lord Neuberger will commence his role as the most senior judge in the UK after he has been sworn in at a special ceremony at the Supreme Court on 1 October 2012.
