Visitors coming to the United Kingdom from Kuwait will soon be able to benefit from an easier and cheaper way to travel. Starting from early 2016, Kuwaiti nationals will only be required to pay a £15.00 GBP fee instead of having to apply for a visa.
The new electronic visa waiver arrangement will remove the need for Kuwaiti nationals to attend a visa application centre or give biometrics before they travel to the UK. Instead, they will be able to fill out an online form up to 48 hours before they travel, saving time and cost.
Visitors from Kuwait will then be able to visit the UK for up to six months once this form has been filled out and the £15.00 fee paid.
A pilot scheme is currently underway and the scheme is expected to be rolled out in early 2016. Until then, full visas are still required for travel to the UK.
